Objective

Make an approved class discoverable through the intended Studio channels without assuming a saved class is automatically listed or open for online registration.

Before you begin

  • Have the approved class schedule, instructor, location, room, term, eligibility, capacity, pricing, and publication decision.
  • Use an account with class-writing access. Tuition & enrollment fees also requires class and billing write access.

Instructions

  1. Select the exact class in “Classes”

Open Classes, use Search classes if needed, and select the correct row. Check Instructor, Schedule, Location, Room, Term, Category, Capacity, Future reservations, and Record state before changing any publication control.

  2. Set the class fields in “Edit class”

Select Edit class. Complete the approved Class name, Age range, session fields, Capacity, Instructor, Location, Room, Term, Category, minimum and maximum ages, and Record state. Select Save changes only after checking the class is the correct offering.

  3. Add or review “Tuition & enrollment fees” without posting charges

On the selected class, open Tuition & enrollment fees. If the control is available, select Add pricing period and complete the shown Rate (USD), Registration cycle, period, and occurrence-date fields. Saving a pricing period creates or revises pricing; it does not post family charges.

  4. Set “Website listing,” “Parent portal,” and “Online registration” separately

In Edit class, use Display channels to set Website listing, Parent portal, and Online registration. These are independent controls. Turn on only the approved combination, then select Save changes. If Registrations will be affected appears, read it and select Confirm and save only after the Studio approves that impact.

  5. Publish the Studio-wide “Website class listings” setting

Open Settings > Website & portal. Turn Website class listings on only when the Studio approves the hosted catalog, embeddable widget, and public read-only API. Choose approved Published field controls, then select Save integration settings. This setting is separate from each class’s Website listing.

  6. Use “Hosted catalog” Preview and recheck the class row

Select Preview under Hosted catalog, then return to Classes. Check the Website, Portal, Online, and State columns for the selected class. If needed, use the Studio setting’s Preview rather than giving a visitor instructions; this guide covers Studio configuration only.

Result: The selected class and the approved Studio listing show the intended visibility and online-registration status.

Troubleshooting

The class is visible but online registration is not available.

Check Online registration separately from Website listing and Parent portal, then check record state, capacity, eligibility, and Tuition & enrollment fees. A visible class is not automatically open for online registration.

The class is saved but does not appear in the approved listing preview.

Check the class’s Website listing and the Studio-wide Website class listings switch in Settings > Website & portal. Select Save integration settings after the approved configuration is complete, then use Hosted catalog Preview again.

A save is blocked, fails, or warns that registrations will be affected.

Confirm your class or pricing access and correct the displayed required field. Do not confirm an impact warning simply to clear it. Contact Orbit if the same approved Studio change continues to fail.

Result

Use enrollment and communications only after the Studio has verified the class record and listing. Recheck this configuration whenever schedule, capacity, eligibility, pricing, or listing policy changes.
