Objective
Save an approved class change while accounting for current and future placements.
Before you begin
- Use class-writing access and obtain the Studio’s approved change. Review current enrollment and future reservations before changing an offering.
- Archiving turns off Website listing, Parent portal, and Online registration. Handle individual transfers or drops separately in Enrollments.
Instructions
Find the exact class in “Classes”
Use Search classes and the filters, then select the class. Check Instructor, Schedule, Capacity, Future capacity, and Record state. Use Manage roster when available to inspect affected placements before editing.
Select “Edit class” and make the approved changes
Review Class name, Age range, Session time, Capacity, Instructor, Location, Room, Term, Category, ages, and Prerequisite classes. Set Record state to Archived only for an approved archive. Review Display channels for any active class change.
Select “Save changes” and review any registration warning
If Registrations will be affected appears, read the message and confirm that the Studio has accounted for those registrations. Select Confirm and save only for that approved change. To revise an unapproved change, close the edit and reopen Edit class with the correct details.
Check the saved record and affected work
Wait for Class record saved and connected views refreshed. Recheck the class details, schedule, and State column. For an archive, verify that Website and Portal are Hidden and Online is Disabled. Review Enrollments for any separately required transfer or drop.
Result: The approved class record is saved. An archived class has its display and online-registration channels disabled; individual placement decisions remain separate.
Troubleshooting
The save says the class changed or warns about registrations.
For a changed-record error, refresh and review the current class before reapplying the approved edit. For Registrations will be affected, pause the save until an authorized Studio manager approves the impact; the warning is not an instruction to remove dancers.
The archived class is missing from the list or still has dancers.
Set the Record state filter to Archived or All states and check the search and other filters. Review placements in Enrollments. Archiving the class does not itself transfer or drop those dancers or settle their billing.
Result
Complete any approved placement changes and communications separately. Recheck pricing if the approved class change also changes its pricing policy.
Support
Ask an authorized Studio manager about registration impact, archive, placement, or fee decisions. Contact Orbit for a persistent class save or refresh error.
